On September 14, 2026, the first foundation pilot and groundbreaking ceremony of a key section of the ±800 kV ultra-high-voltage direct current transmission project from southeastern Tibet to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was successfully held in Wenshan, Yunnan. The KR200D heavy-duty integral-transport power construction drilling rig, co-developed by Jiangsu Tysim Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tysim ") and the State Grid Hunan Electric Power Research Institute, appeared at the construction site and completed a live demonstration of 5G remote intelligent operation, supporting efficient and safe construction of the UHV project with high-end intelligent power construction equipment and complete solutions.

The Tibet-Guangdong DC project is a key energy project of China's 14th Five-Year Plan, of great significance to the green and low-carbon transformation of energy and the realization of the "dual carbon" goals. The project route runs mostly through mountainous areas with complex terrain and harsh construction conditions, imposing stringent requirements on the heavy-load capacity, transfer efficiency, stability, and intelligent level of construction equipment. Targeting the various pain points of mountainous UHV construction, Tysim and the State Grid Hunan Electric Power Research Institute have carried out deep industry-research collaboration for seven years, combining real power infrastructure construction conditions to conduct targeted R&D and iterative optimization, and have created specialized power construction drilling rig equipment adapted to UHV mountainous construction, achieving professional and intelligent upgrading of power grid construction equipment. At present, Tysim power construction drilling rigs have been deployed in more than 28 provinces across the country, serving over 1,000 power grid infrastructure projects of various types, and have become a core equipment service provider for mechanized and intelligent construction of power grid pile foundations in China.

The KR200D heavy-duty integral-transport power construction drilling rig unveiled this time is the core achievement of the two parties' seven-year industry-research collaboration. The equipment adopts an integral-transport integrated design, requiring no disassembly and reassembly, which greatly simplifies the transfer process at mountainous construction sites and effectively saves construction preparation time. Equipped with a reinforced heavy-duty chassis and a high-performance power system, the equipment adapts to rugged mountainous road conditions and can efficiently complete large-diameter, deep-foundation hole-forming operations for UHV transmission towers. The equipment features a 360° panoramic image construction mode, effectively reducing safety risks in mountainous field construction; its super-strong torque and efficient rock-penetrating function improve the quality and efficiency of foundation construction, highly matching UHV project construction standards.

At the event site, Tysim  newly upgraded 5G remote intelligent control platform for power construction equipment completed a live demonstration, fully showcasing the company's intelligent R&D strength. This demonstration achieved cross-regional remote construction control: operating from the control cabin at Tysim headquarters in Wuxi, Jiangsu, staff relied on 5G high-speed communication technology to remotely and precisely control the KR200D drilling rig operating at the construction site in Yunnan, over 3,000 kilometers away, with the equipment responding quickly, running stably, and being controlled accurately.

The application of this intelligent solution has completely transformed the traditional power pile foundation construction model. Through remote control technology, construction personnel no longer need to be stationed at high-risk operation sites, truly achieving human-machine separation and safe construction; at the same time, a single remote control console can simultaneously manage multiple rotary drilling rigs for coordinated operation, greatly reducing labor costs and improving construction efficiency, perfectly solving industry pain points such as high safety risks, high labor costs, and limited operational efficiency in traditional power grid construction.

For a long time, Tysim has been deeply engaged in the field of power infrastructure equipment, continuously deepening collaborative research with the State Grid Hunan Electric Power Research Institute, closely following the actual needs of power grid construction, constantly iterating equipment performance, upgrading intelligent control systems, and optimizing adaptation to various mountainous and UHV construction scenarios.

Next, Tysim will continue to deepen its presence in the UHV power grid infrastructure equipment track, continuously optimize intelligent construction equipment and remote control technology, and, with co-developed high-end intelligent power equipment, safeguard the efficient construction of major national energy projects, providing solid equipment support for the intelligent upgrading of power infrastructure and the green transformation of energy.
